My Yoga Journey
I discovered yoga as a teenager in 1960s–70s Finland, when it was still rare in the West. A book in my aunt’s library ignited my fascination. I began practicing asanas, pranayama, and Raja Yoga, and chanting Om left a deep imprint.
Later, in India, Autobiography of a Yogi opened the door to esoteric yoga and Indian philosophy, including Ayurveda.
In the early 90s, I became a Kundalini yoga teacher in Stockholm. But discovering Ashtanga Vinyasa changed everything. I trained with Alexander Meining, practiced with Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, and taught for years in Stockholm and Ibiza. I also embraced yin yoga as a gentle complement.
When a broken leg stopped my Ashtanga practice, I turned to tantric philosophy and classical hatha yoga. The online platform Tantra Illuminated with Harris was a turning point.
I’ve led retreats in Sweden, Finland, Ibiza, Montenegro, and Peru. My teaching weaves asana, pranayama, mantra, meditation, mudra, and chanting.
I am also a certified aromatherapist and Ayurvedic guide (American Institute of Vedic Studies). I’ve been teaching since 1995 — first in Stockholm, then Ibiza, and now in Montenegro.
